WHY BUY A DEUTER BACKPACK?

At Deuter, our backpacks are built on over a hundred years of expertise. In developing our backpack systems, for example, we collaborate with professional athletes, mountaineers, and doctors. This is how we continue to provide practical, high-quality equipment for outdoor activities that set standards. A Deuter backpack must meet the following criteria:

Durability and quality: Deuter backpacks are made from durable materials and use the highest manufacturing standards. They withstand the harsh conditions they're exposed to when used for sport climbing, long-distance trails, or freeriding, for example.

Lifetime Repair Service: No matter how long you've had your backpack, if you find any loose stitching or a broken zipper, we'll be happy to fix it for you.

Lightweight: Our product design team constantly strives to make our backpacks even lighter. By optimizing the amount of materials we use and selecting specialized technical fabrics, we've managed to significantly reduce weight.

Comfortable: A wide range of different backrest systems designed to meet the demands of specific activities offer the best in comfort and back-friendly ergonomics.

Multiple Fit Styles: People come in all shapes and sizes. That's why we offer a variety of fits and sizes. There are Deuter Slim Line (SL) backpacks, with a shorter back and women's-specific straps; or Extra Long (EL) models, for taller people, between 1.85 m and 2 m, with a longer back and greater capacity.

Sustainable: Most importantly, we also strive to manufacture our backpacks sustainably and in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. We do not use PFAS in Deuter. Instead, we use an environmentally safe DWR (durable water repellent) finish. As a bluesign® partner, we monitor our environmental footprint at every stage of the supply chain. And with our membership in the Fair Wear Foundation (and Leader status), we monitor and ensure fair working conditions in our production facilities; and with the help of the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles, we improve our manufacturing to meet social, economic, and ecological standards.
